Under the Night Sky
by Yours Truly
Under the night sky
A star tail paints itself across the heavens.
A breeze whispers joyfully to trembling leaves.
The moon exhales,
and soft clouds,
illumined by her breath,
slip silently to the east.
Under the night sky
the tree of life roots down
while stretching starward,
sending the force of life
in opposing directions.
Root down.
Stretch starward.
What rests in between does not effort.
Under the night sky,
while beings dance
and people slumber,
there is an unspoken symphony
composing itself in the shadows.
It sings of love and loss,
and it is all beautiful.
The climax:
The past, present, and future
are all happening now.
We are god.

Hi Joy.
This is beautifully mesmerizing. It reminds me of sitting under the night sky… really takes me back to a favourite place in my heart… the farm where I grew up.
“The moon exhales,
and soft clouds,
illumined by her breath,
slip silently to the east.”
My favourite verse! Love it.

Love the last few lines. I have always been intrigued by the idea of past, present and future all being now! I find it hard to see why our divinity woudl need to be constrained by a construct such as time. Thought provoking. Thank you!

ToBeMe–You are welcome!
Happiness and Wisdom–It took me a long time to get my head around that past present and future all happening now, but they really are, aren’t they?

Hey you,
Reminds me of the night I had surrounded by thunder and lightening last week. My roots were down, my thoughts lifted, my heart was effortlessly full. I was wide open and present in all that could be – past, present, future. Loving you every minute!

We indeed are Gods, we are buddhas, we are enlightened beings, we have everything, if only we could remember this. You summed it up very nicely, Molly, bows to you.
