Today is day 2 of a liver/gallbladder flush. Recently I started sensing the need to slow down and do a little cleansing/purging. I’ve heard a dear friend talk about amazing results with this flush for years, and finally the time felt right to do it myself. It isn’t your run-of-the-mill liver cleanse. It is a cleanse on steroids. It culminates in the excretion (that is the pleasant way to say it) of hundreds to thousands of “stones”. I know several people who have done this flush, and they all verify the results. There is no fasting which is really nice. We clean our cars, our homes, our workspace, it only makes sense to give the temple a deep cleanse every so often.
So I’m taking it easy, meditating, reading, and moving slowly. It feels good.
This weekend as I’m “flushing” out the stones, I’m going to do the same to my house/closet. There is a huge feeling of satisfaction brewing.

I’ll fill you in after this weekend when the “flushing” really takes place.

Hi Molly..what a wonderful blog!! Thanks for popping by mine.
I wish I had know things like this 15 years ago when my own gallbladder went bad on me. Off to read some more!! Namaste, Sarah

That’s really interesting. I’d like to know how you feel afterwards. Is there a link to recipe/directions? The links I followed were mostly about ‘why’ and not ‘how.’

Sarah–Better late than never!
Lyndon–I’ll look for that link and get back to you…

Cleansing, clearing and flushing–I love it! I wish you the best on this process. I take a daily product named CKLS. It is a colon, kidney, liver, spleen “cleanse” taken daily which prevents major buildup. It does feel good when we flush our bodies and our minds. I often think of my meditation practice as flushing. May you continue to be at ease today.

Thanks for the reminder!! I was just wondering whether it is time for me to do a detox last night before sleeping. And this morning, I am reading your post. Hmmmm…
July 6, 2009 at 7:18 pm
I’ll be thinking of you. I do little cleansing flushes from time to time and maybe one big one a year. The first few days are always rough for me as the toxins are released.
Hope it’s going well for you.

Sounds great! I’ve been on a detox kick the past couple of months. Been doing some minor daily detox, but am going for the full-on 7-day fast colon cleanse very soon – I mean FULL SCRUB. Can’t wait to get all that grody stuff out of my body!
Wish you a cleaner, healthier, more vibrant bod post-flush!

Sounds like you’ll be feeling clean inside/outside and all around you which has to feel spectacular. Hope the flush goes well.
July 7, 2009 at 6:40 pm
hey how do you do this flush?
July 8, 2009 at 4:24 pm
Happy flushing!

I’ve done the flush a few times over the years and it’s very effective; the one I use does have a partial fast and then a total one for a while. I usually modify it by allowing sips of water.
But it’s about four years since I did one and I’d like to know your method as mine uses light olive oil and pink grapefruit juice along with epsom salts (yuck!)

Interesting post! I guess at times we need to take stock and refresh ourselves, I probably need to more than ever at the moment, given current stress levels I seem to be drinking and smoking way to much….! May be its time I detoxed for a while…!

Hi Molly, all good feelings, love, peace and refreshment to you! When we get ready to cleanse, we cleanse, closet too. Good for you! Anne

It must feel so good doing this flush, being cleansed as toxins and other unwanted substances leave the body.
July 12, 2009 at 1:07 pm
Always at the right time and the right mode… I’m actually doing a clean up of my own space- physical space, that is… and yes, a whole lot of emotional clearing too. I’ve been crying like crazy over so many things again, and had decided to take a break taking photos of my everyday life and just “reconstruct” memories by writing. Waterfall of tears!!!
I’ve never “flushed” before, and maybe I should try doing it. Any links or sites you’d recommend? Feel this would be good since I’m undergoing another current of cleansing.
Hugs, Sister and thank you for the comments on my blog. Really appreciate it!
Love, light, life and laughter,
Faith

Interesting. I’ve never thought of this before. I’ll have to do some research on flushing…please send me any information you may have if you have time. This week I’ve been on Prednizone for a back injury, and it’s the first time I’ve ever been on a steriod. I might want to try this once I’m of the roids, which will end on Sunday. I do feel that everything happens for a reason; and it’s surprising that you’re writing on this today, because I’ve been feeling really toxic in the inside lately. I feel like I just want to cleanse system of all toxics…feel my true self. Thanks for the info! PLL, C.

I’ve done the cleanse a few times. I found that it works best (for me) with a three-day raw apple juice fast with nightly enemas prior to the flush. I do give credence to the claim that most of the “stones” are in fact bits of “soap” – olive oil that has coagulated as a result of mixing the citrus juice. Nonetheless, the the green stones (“greenies”) that came out in the later stool passings of the cleanse were larger and more solid and much darker throughout. They did not appear to be “soap.” I certainly felt a lot better afterward. I suspect the “soap” indeed aids the cleanse.

Thank you for you for your site. It was very informative and very insightful. Knowledge is power, and your site is making it possible for us to make an informative decision. It’s sad to say that we live in a world where companies are trying to take advantage of the consumer. Many of the individuals who are seeking help are in a fixed income and they can’t afford to buy products on a maybe it might work or due to false advertisement. So I wanted to that you once again for helping the public with their health needs. Sincerely
