This is something someone said to me when i asked "how is life?" Somehow, your question brought me back to his answer. May be its for you........

Life is as "is."
I cannot package my thought into a few standard words. I have recovered from the k-o blow I received from "friends" and "people" and as I mentioned in my previous skype mail, "...I have my blinkers and threw away my rear mirror.." and today I add new one, I emptied my mind and heart and filled up with the fresh mountain air and silence. In solitude, I find and found myself again. It took more than 6 months.

That is the shortest answer on how life is. I try to live life the way I truly believe.."being honest to myself and no malice towards others ( sounds too good like from a book!)...." even if it hurts me. Being myself without compromising on my principles is important to me, even if it means I lose out things/opportunities of any kind or even to the extent that I have to be alone. "..........to thy dying self, be true...~ Greek philosopher (cannot remember his name now!)..."

Now, this should give you a better perception on "how life is" for me.

Excellent question that's worthy to be asked, Molly.

I think that our 'authenticity' is validated by how our actions and words are in harmony with each other. In an old post for me entitled "Sorry!" I wrote about something near to your question but from a different perspective. Feel free to check it anytime.

p.s.: thanks for the clarification regarding 'Elizabith Gilbert'
